Who Will Take Part In Strictly Come Dancing 2025?

It's just four months until a 22nd series of Strictly Come Dancing is expected to get underway - and there's a buzz on the best betting sites amid speculation about who might take part.

Comedian Chris McCausland made history on the BBC Latin and ballroom show last year when he became the first blind contestant to ever appear on the show.

He followed that up by clinching the Glitterball Trophy alongside professional partner Dianne Buswell.

Could 2025 be the year of the Toms?

Double Tom

Apprentice star Tom Skinner is the early 11/10 favourite on betting apps to take part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

The businessman shot to fame on The Apprentice in 2019, but six years later he is best known for his "bosh" catchphrase and chowing down Christmas dinners for breakfast most of December.

It is hoped the market trader and all-round top geezer - who has also taken part in Celebrity MasterChef - will get some more dads to tune into this year's Strictly.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Thomas hasn’t any dancing experience, but he’s up for giving the competition his best shot.

"Strictly bosses are hoping he’ll get the dads watching. He has a massive following, especially with working-class blokes.

"He’s a huge football fan and enjoys pies and gravy. He’s not a luvvie at all.

"He’s bound to get his catchphrase ‘Bosh’ on to the show, too."

Another Tom in contention for this year's Latin and ballroom series is Queen Camilla's son, Tom Parker Bowles.

The food writer, who is one of the critics on BBC show MasterChef, was linked to the programme last year, but 2025 could be his time on the dancefloor.

A Strictly source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Top of their wish list is MasterChef star Tom.

"His name was also sounded-out last year but never materialised. Bosses hope they’ll have better luck this year.

"It would be a coup to sign someone with such a strong royal link. Maybe we could see Camilla and Charles in the audience?"

Toff In Talks

Tom Parker Bowles is 13/8 to take part in Strictly's 23rd series, just behind former Made in Chelsea star Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo (6/4).

Fresh from marrying millionaire BrewDog founder James Watt, Toff is in negotiations about showing off her skills on the BBC ballroom later this year.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Georgia is in talks to join - she would bring glamour, poise and fun to the show.

"She’s been a huge hit on all the telly shows she’s done and would be a popular contestant on Strictly."

Another star who has impressed on TV over the years is former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty.

Best known for starring as Whitney Dean from 2008 to 2024, Shona has been linked to Strictly several times.

Late last year, the actress and singer dropped the biggest hint yet that she could finally accept an offer from the Latin and ballroom series.

Quizzed on whether she has ever been invited to do Strictly before, she told Revamp magazine: "I have been several times, but I turned it down because of my anxiety. I think it just got in the way.

"I would think, 'I can't do it,' or, 'It’s not the right time.'

"I just panicked, and I kick myself for it now. But now that I’m older, I’m like, 'You know what? I’ll do it.'

"I feel like everything happens for a reason. What’s meant for you won’t pass you by!"

Shona is 2/1 to sign up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

From Cheltenham To Cha-Cha-Cha

Elsewhere, Grand National-winning jockey Rachael Blackmore and TV presenter Gary Lineker have both been linked to the show, and they may have a bit more time on their hands later this year.

Blackmore recently announced her retirement from riding with immediate effect, and she is now just 3/1 to swap the saddle for a salsa.

She said: "It is daunting, not being able to say that I am a jockey anymore. Who even am I now!

"But I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the career I've had."

Blackmore could soon be adding "Strictly contestant" to her CV, if she is approached by show bosses, but Lineker is a 6/1 shot to sign up.

Last year, the TV presenter announced he was stepping down from Match of the Day at the end of the season.

He was due to present the FA Cup and World Cup coverage for the BBC next season, but has confirmed his final Match of the Day stint will be his last presenting duty on the BBC.

Others in contention to take part in this year's Strictly include former Lioness Jill Scott, who is 4/1 and ex-Love Island star Tommy Fury (9/2).
