Has Anyone Seen Signs of Oracle Teresias?

    I am not sure how many Kymerians remember the dark day -- March 29, 1998 -- when tortured Oracle Teresias finally went mad and, after changing himself into a snake, escaped into the Blasted Heath.  I decided to search throughout the old Bridge of Dreams archives on my computer and found the original article which is below.   So be on the lookout, you never know which snake may be Oracle Teresias.

    Today was one of the saddest in Kymer history as Oracle Teresias turned his back on Morpheus and defiled the Temple before fleeing into Blasted Heath. A poor Acolyte Chameleon has been frozen with shock after Teresias fled through her into Blasted Heath after changing himself into a snake.

    It all started in the Tabernacle with the Acolytes and Brother Echo being very concerned for Oracle Teresias' well-being. It was soon discovered that Teresias was out on Orchid Street acting peculiar still. Our dear Teresias led everyone on a merry chase while raving on about wanting peace and wondering if he were made of stone if he might be free from the burden of responsibility on his shoulders.

    Between Meditation Park and Magic Shop, the chase continued. As the Acolytes continued to try and block his flight, Teresias disappeared. He was later found in the Tabernacle, searching for peace, apparently in vain.

    Teresias put Vaz's Staff in the corner of the Tabernacle, his Oracle book on the floor. Teresias force-ghosted the Acolytes, one by one until he was alone in the Tabernacle. Then the hideousness of the day began. He removed a dagger from his robe, and with rapid strokes, defiled the Temple and created a Sacrifice to Phoebetor.

    After this ritual, Teresias fled staggering to Blasted Heath, Acolytes blocking his path at every step. He became very agitated, seeking to join his new Master, Phoebetor.

    To gain access to Blasted Heath, Teresias changed into a snake and passed through Acolyte Chameleon, thus freezing her with shock. His escape was complete!!

    The Acolytes were rightfully concerned for poor Chammie and summoned Brother Echo to help the poor lioness. She was taken to Oracle Uni's bed to await Uni's return.

Many avatars created a memorial for Teresias and Chammie at Blasted Heath and the Tabernacle. We wish Teresias peace and Chammie good health soon.
