The Healing of MysticCaelum

As many of you may remember, recently MysticCaelum Mage was foolish enough to eat a handful of purple berries from a Jungle Berry Plant.  The unfortunate mage quickly sprouted a rather amazing head of long purple hair.  Unable to find a way to reverse this condition, he was forced to walk around the jungle looking like a shaggy dog in need of a trip to the groomer.

Although many offered suggestions for a cure, it was not until the day of the Muses visit to the jungle that MysticCaelum finally found a solution.  We have seen both the before and after pictures of his miraculous cure in a previous article, but many (well at least one) have asked about the actual ceremony that brought about this cure.  Now for the first time we can all see the amazing healing hut of the native healer, Black Star (es hiect euld,) and share a part of one of her healing rituals.

As the two entered the healing room, es hiect euld assured MysticCaelum that the ritual would cause him no pain, but might make him somewhat tired.  She then instructed him to stand on the rug as she called to the great spirit of the black cat to help her once again.

After explaining the problem to the black cat spirit, she asked his help in casting out the evil spirit that had fallen upon the hair of the mage.  Suddenly, as if by magic, MysticCaelum's hair returned to normal.

We can only hope that MysticCaelum has learned an important lesson about not eating anything in the jungle until he has asked one of his older brothers for advice.  If not for the kindness of the jungle healer he might have remained shaggy forever.
