| Saturday, March 10, 2001, was a memorable day in the jungle.
For the first time Muses were seen outside of the theater. Muse
Calliope and Muse Melpomene joined MysticObsidian, MysticCaelum, and
MysticGarnet for a time of discussion, story telling, and poetry
readings at the Morpheus Idol.
At the end of the festivities MysticGrey made an appearance and shared a story which he had recently been able to translate from stone tablets found in the ancient ruins in the jungle. Hopefully, at a later date this story can be shared here in the Virtual Planet so that all of you may read it.
Before returning to the theater, the Muses were given a grand tour of the jungle by the Mages. It was a merry group which traveled along, single file down the jungle path. They stopped to view "Life in Balance" which led to some interesting remarks from MysticGrey. He seems to feel that there is a necessary balance in life of light and dark, and that it can be most precarious for this balance to lean too far in either direction. He has been heard by many in recent days to make similar remarks in connection with the Blasted Heath.

MysticCaelum, much to his dismay, missed part of the visit with the Muses. Yesterday he found a beautiful jungle berry plant covered in large juicy berries. Without consulting his brothers he popped the succulent fruit into his mouth. Within hours his hair began to grow in all directions, leaving him looking like a large purplish mop. Unable to stand the taunts of his brothers and friends, MysticCaelum sought medical help from the native healer, Black Star (es hiect euld). She was kind enough to take him to her hut of healing, where she soon returned him to full health.
Once he was restored to his usual less hairy self, MysticCaelum rejoined the other Mages and the Muses for the end of their jungle tour. Black Star accompanied him and offered a final blessing for good health to all of the members of the gathering, as the Mages bid the Muses farewell.
