On Monday, February 26, the word went out that two new
mages had made the long trek from the Mystic Mountains to join their
brothers in the jungles of Kymer. Unfortunately, they were given a
map from the notoriously poor map maker, MysticGrey. He later
claimed that he must have given them some of his doodling by mistake.
MysticCaelum Mage and MysticObsidian Mage somehow ended up at the
waterfall in front of Echo Cave, where they were rescued by helpful
avatars and led to join MysticGrey and Mystic Garnet in front of Mage
Manor. They were given a warm welcome by the citizens of Kymer and
then retired for a short rest before heading through town to the new
Kymer Theater.
They were accompanied by MysticGarnet and MysticAzure, who joined in
their amazement at the wonders to be found in the streets of Kymer.
A walk through town is quite an event for a mage, as they seldom leave
the jungle. They somehow seemed confused by the head vendo in
front of the Community Center, and seemed to believe that Caretaker
Rabbit had been beheaded and put on display in a glass case.
Inside the theater they were delighted to meet Muse Clio, who found them
to be most attentive listeners, though she seemed a bit overwhelmed by
the sight of so many of the robed ones.
As they returned through the jungle, they had yet another great
surprise. Suddenly MysticBlack Mage appeared, back from a recent
journey to the Mountains. He claimed to have returned with dire
warnings regarding the Blasted Heath. He would say little, other
than that he and MysticGrey must confer about the meanings of the dreams
and visions they have both been having. These seem somehow to be
linked to the possible opening of the Heath by the Caretakers of Kymer.
Hopefully, as they learn more, they will share with all of us.
