FIBBER'S DICE
Rules
The Host
stands at a single die and will
roll that die to see which
player starts.
Each player stands at a pair of
dice.
To play the game, the first
player rolls the dice hidden.
That player then has three
choices.
-
He can tell the truth and say what he has rolled.
-
He can lie and say he has rolled something higher.
-
He can lie and say he has rolled something lower.
The next player now has two options:
-
He can believe the previous player and try to roll something higher without looking at what the previous player had rolled. If in that case he doesn't roll a higher number he has to fibb and give a score that is higher than the previous player's score. Otherwise he loses.
-
He can call the previous player a fibber and ask him to show what he had rolled. If this happens, the previous player will show his dice and if he gave a score higher than the dice show the previous player loses. However, if the previous player has rolled the same or more than the score he said the current player loses.
The scoring order is : (note: the high die is always the first digit and the low die always the second).
31, 32, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, double 1s, double 2s, double 3s, double 4s, double 5s, double 6s and the highest score: Max (21)
If a player rolls a "Max" (21) he can show his dice straight away and the next player loses because there is no score higher that he could get.
Each time a player loses the turn returns to the preceding player to start a new round.
Each player must declare a score higher than the preceding player or call the previous player a fibber and be correct to avoid losing.
NOTES
The dice always get rolled hidden. If a player makes a mistake and rolls a die so that everyone can see it he has to roll that die again. If a player gets confused with the scoring and announces for example 26 instead of 62. The host will tell him that there is no 26 in this game and whether he wanted to say 62 instead so he can correct his mistake.
If a player announces a score that is the same or lower than the score of the previous player he loses.
When a player gets asked to show his dice he has to click on "Show result to others". If he messes this up and rolls the die instead he will lose no matter what the dice will show in the end.
